After You Believe

Fruitful-Tree In Christian Life

...Be like a tree that bringeth forth ... fruit.

What to Do After You Become a Christian

First Things In the Christian Life

The Most Important Step

... I can take after believing "on the name of the Son of God" and being saved is to begin to grow as a newborn babe in Christ.
1 Peter 2:2-3 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: 3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
It is truly God's grace that we are delivered from the bondage of a sinful life. If you will [sic ;) "You should"] begin [victory will be sustained only by a daily walk with God], today and every day, to do these 5 simple commands from the Bible you will begin to bear Christian fruit..

1. READ, Memorize and Meditate Day and Night on the Word of God.

Psalm 1:1-3 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
Psalm 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against Thee.
Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

This first step is the most significant since it will begin to replace vain thoughts with noble thoughts in your mind on a daily, instantaneous-as-needed basis.

2. PRAY to God Continuously.

1 Thessalonians 5: 17 Pray without ceasing.
Prayer is talking to God just as you would talk to another great and intimate Friend. A model is given to you in Matt 6.9-13; the model has 6 major principles †:
● 1 Hallowed Be Thy Name
=ADORE God first in prayer by 1) meditation upon His attributes (character traits) AND also by
2)Thanksgiving to Him for His works in your life.
● 2 Thy Kingdom Come
=ANTICIPATE the coming of the kingdom He has promised will come. This means
1)Evangelize others; (Acts 1:8)
2)Pray for more laborers to evangelize them (Luke 10:2);
3)Faithfully occupy your responsibilities, roles, and duties until Christ comes (Matt. 25:27);
4)Disciple the believers you see converted; and finally
5)Hunger for His kingdom to come (Rev. 22:20).
● 3 Thy Will be Done
=SUBMIT to His will through the power of prayer as you live and grow in your Christian life; it comes by every decision you make.
The 5 major ones are choosing
a)helpmeet
b)church/school
c)ministry
d)house
e)vocation.
● 4 Give us ... Our Daily Bread
=PETITION God and ask for the necessities of your physical and spiritual life.
● 5 Forgive us our Debts
=CONFESS your sins to God for restored fellowship with Him whenever you sin. (1 John 1:9)
● 6 Lead us not into Temptation but deliver us from evil
=RESOLVE in your heart not to forsake Him in your Christian life and ARM yourself for spiritual warfare (Eph 6:10ff).

Bible reading and prayer are definitely the two single most important steps of Christian growth. A detailed prayer outline is available online†.

However, the following must not be neglected either.

3. Be Baptized by Immersion and Identify Yourself as a Believer.

Romans 6: 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
The simple act of Baptism is one of the clearest means of increasing your faith, and tells God, as well as others, you are serious about serving Him.

4. Attend and Become a Member of a Bible-Believing Church.

Hebrews 10: 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Becoming accountable to others organized in a New-Testament style church is the God-ordained way to endure the ebb and flow of the Christian life. Picture it as a ‘hospital for sinners!’ God will lead you to the one you ought to join. (See Philippians 3:13-15)

5. GIVE Generously Back to God as He has Given to You Your Time, Talents, and Money.

Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
God has promised to meet your every need as you obey Him by giving of your time, your abilities, and your money. Your giving should be done scripturally. Study the Bible to discover HOW!

Psalm 67 – A Prayer for America –

God’s Will for A Christian Nation

by Patrick Christine Lanyon
FaceBook Posted on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 8:25am 

To the chief Musician on Neginoth, A Psalm or Song.
Psa 67:1 God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause His face to shine upon us; Selah.
Psa 67:2  That Thy way may be known upon earth, Thy saving health among all nations.
Psa 67:3  Let the people praise Thee, O God; let all the people praise Thee.
Psa 67:4  O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for Thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah.
Psa 67:5  Let the people praise Thee, O God; let all the people praise Thee.
Psa 67:6  Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.
Psa 67:7  God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear Him.

A Prayer for America:

America needs a re-connect to the God of their Forefathers. Study the Monument to the Forefathers if you don't understand our motivation for this post.

Dear God,

We need Your mercy and blessing.

When Your face shines upon us we will be a joyful nation that is truly pleasing to You.

You truly want Your way to be made known in all the earth.
Saving health is needed in all nations of the World, and it can come only from You and Your blessing.

The peoples of a nation cannot be happy until they are praising the God of Creation in their own tongue.
This can happen only when You are judging the peoples thereof with Your righteousness.
This is the only true government that works in a nation.
When this happens, then – and only then – can the people praise You.

And praise You, they will!
Then will the lands and the earth yield their increase.
God will be Our God, All the Earth shall see that blessing on us and all nations will fear our God.

We know this is Your purpose for all the Earth,
and we thank You for making the United States of America
what it is now doing to accomplish that purpose.

But we also now see how much our spiritual evil seeks to prevent that from happening.
So we will make this prayer ours.

--For the Glory of the Son of God, Our Redeemer and our Savior.
Amen.

Introduction 1 "Talking With God"

What is Prayer?
Prayer is just "talking with God."
This presupposes that you know God, whom you wish to talk with.
Few people are not willing to acknowledge God, that He is out there. But we all hear often in a hororific scene of people crying out to Him "Oh God!" or anything similar. Crying out to Him is an instinct we've been born with, and maybe that's what the Bible means when it says, Ge 1:27 "...in the image of God created he him(1)"

So when we cry out to God, let us realize that He's listening. He does listen if He created me and He is willing to hear me. When we realize He is willing to do this, we are then willing to consider some of the things He would have us understand about Him, about us, and about the kind of relationship we can have with Him.
1. Ge 1:27
So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God
created he him
;
male and female created he them.
So take heart, today, and start "talking" -- He's listening!

Introduction

Welcome to "My Prayer Notebook Guide"

I'd like to use this blog to explain better how to use a very useful tool for the life of anyone wishing to get to know the God of Creation(1) as revealed through the Bible and then how to communicate with Him.

He loves the world(2) and want everyone to know Him(3) and do His will(4). This tool should help greatly.

It is "A Prayer Notebook" to be used as a personally written journal for daily, and if not that, a regular and methodical(5) and purposeful way to communicate with the only true God(6), and as result of that, to worship Him "in spirit and in truth.(7)"

If you can accept the Bible as truth and the true revealer of God, you can have a personal and intimate relationship with Him. I will be using a version which I consider trustworthy for understanding, and I hope you can join me in this journey.

1 Ge 1:1 ¶ In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
2 Joh 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
3 1Jo 5:20 And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.
4 Joh 7:17 "If anyone wants to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own authority.
5 Mt 6:9 "In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.
6 Joh 17:3 "And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.
7 Joh 4:23 "But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. 24 "God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."

If you read the above scriptures as complete verses all the way through once, and then re-read the Green boldface only, you will begin to understand how God can speak to us through His word when the Bible's principles are emphasized. This is my attempt to "rightly divide the Word of Truth" (2 Tim 2:15)
